Every three years we repeat our presence in Düsseldorf, on the occasion of the celebration of the K Fair, the most important worldwide in the world of plastics.
They were intense days of wandering around the halls seeing all the stands and going deeper into some of the ones we were interested in and whose visit we had planned.
As always, the big injection moulding machinery brands had the most eye-catching and successful stands with their demonstrations of the latest equipment and technologies. At the Arburg stand, where we have 11 of our 16 machines, we saw their latest, impressive 650 tonne equipment and some impressive demonstrations of injection moulding with complementary robotic processes.
In addition to machinery of different sizes, strategically, we were also interested in investigating and going deeper into new materials -masterbaches and compound-, new technologies -such as liquid silicone injection-, applications and evolutions of technical plastics by sectors -automotive, aeronautics, medical-health, electronics, household appliances, sports, renewable energies, etc. -new processes - automation and robotics, automated production inspections, welding and finishing techniques for visible components.
In addition, this type of event is always a good meeting point with suppliers, customers, technology centres, colleagues and friends, with whom to share experiences and knowledge.
Another contribution of these days was the open-mindedness to new ways of doing things and even to creativity, facilitated by the day-to-day environment and even by the fact that we chose to stay in Cologne, an impressive city on the banks of the Rhine, which, with its historic centre and atmosphere, induced us to reflect on the day or to generate improvements for ourselves while sitting in front of a tasty dinner washed down with a couple of good German beers.
